Warming Center
“Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’”
Central Presbyterian has committed to serving as a Warming Center for those adults who don’t have a place to go to keep warm through the night. We open when the temperatures drop to 30 or below any time between 6:00 PM and 7:00 AM, or when the temperature is 32 or below and we are experiencing precipitation. Our facilities will accommodate up to fifteen individuals, men or women. We are not able to accept families or children. We will provide a hot dinner and breakfast, a cot to sleep on, a blanket and pillow.
