The Warming Center will be open on Wednesday (January 28), Thursday (January 29),  Friday (January 30) and Saturday (January 31)  from  6pm to 7am each night. Adults needing shelter from the cold weather are welcome.  Please arrive between 6pm and 7:30pm each evening.  No one will be admitted after 7:30pm.  Hot meals will be provided.

Adults must be 18 years of age or older.  We are unable to accept children or families at this facility.

The Warming Center may be open for additional nights depending of the weather forecast.

Souper Bowl

The Souper Bowl of Caring began in 1990 through the ministry of Spring Valley Presbyterian Church in Columbia, South Carolina as a way to raise awareness of the many who do not have enough to eat. On February 8, the day of the Super Bowl, at the end of the service, students will hold soup pots for people to drop a donation in. These funds will be given to Waxahachie Care to provide food for those in need.

Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent. Join us February 18 at 7:00 pm for our Ash Wednesday service featuring the imposition of ashes. The season of Lent is a forty-day period of fasting, repentance and prayer in preparation of Easter.

Lenten Small Groups

Explore The Joyful Kingdom! Join a Lenten Small Group that will meet weekly to discuss the passage that will be preached upon the following Sunday.  Everyone who is interested in participating will be placed in a small group that will gather weekly for seventy-five minutes for fellowship, study and prayer.  Registration forms can be found on the website or in the church office.  Groups will begin meeting the week of Monday, February 12 and will meet for six weeks.
