December 6, 2017–Fellowship Park is a three-phase plan that came to fruition after years of praying and dreaming about a possible mission-related purpose for the lot next to the church office (cottage). A planning team met for weeks, then submitted the proposal to the session, which approved it unanimously in the summer of 2017. When all three phases of the project are finished, the park will include refurbished playground equipment and the addition of new equipment; new fencing; extensive landscaping; a 20-by-40 foot cabana with a concrete floor, and sidewalks. The session believes this project will create a welcoming space for God’s children of all ages, and that it fits well with the church’s vision and mission.
The church is grateful to Bill and Marilyn Abbott for their significant donation in memory of Ellie Abbott, as well as other donors who have made this park possible for our entire community to enjoy.
