Youth Mission Trip

Haven for Hope by Lina
Today at Haven for Hope the group and I went to clean windows. There were a lot and one thing I liked that I saw was others helping and trying to clean with us. We cleaned the windows at the Dining Hall, the Chapel, the Women’s and Children’s Dorm, the Transformational Services Building and the San Antonio Christian Dental Clinic.
Bible Study and Devotional by Zion
In the devotional today, we talked about the importance of communion and living out a Eucharistic life that involves Christ in our daily lives. The theme was, “#letsgo Lead a Eucharistic Life”. To remind us to keep communion and our daily lives holy, we got to paint little pottery chalices to take home. We also received silver and gold skeleton keys from Bridget in our daily “mail” to remind us of Proverbs 4:13 “Take hold of my instructions; don’t let them go. Guard them, for they are the key to life.”
Dinner at Alamo Quarry Market by Casparella
Today’s dinner at EZ’s was great! The food was different but similarity was that it look like home-made food. I believe that was the best part, everything being hand made. Going as a youth group, talking to one another about the food was good. What I got to experience new was the spinach wraps. YUM!
GIANT Games Night by Jaron
GIANT Games Night was a ton of fun. Everybody enjoyed the giant games including Kerplunk I which Jaron was crowned a two-time champion. Also games including giant Candy Land and Farkle. The youth really worked together playing the games and I believe the games helped us bond together as a youth group.
